After the hike we went back to Lenny and drove, I don’t know, maybe a total of 200 miles. Not very far. Somewhere in those 200 miles we crossed into Canada. At the border crossing the border patrol asked Dad some questions to make sure we were for real especially when we told him we were moving to Alaska. He asked if we had any pets in the RV with us and we told him we didn’t. He said to Paisley and me that Mom and Dad moving us to Alaska was worthy of getting a pet when we arrived and then I said, “Well I’m getting a Guinea pig when we get there.
